Confirm the complete door configuration

• Materials and finish: confirm the copper-facing specification, inner structure, surface sample and maintenance requirements for the selected design.
• Glass: identify the required privacy, safety glazing, thickness and insulating configuration with the project team. Confirm compatibility with the frame and local requirements.
• Hardware and operation: specify swing direction, handle, lock and hinge or pivot arrangement. The hardware rating alone does not establish the capacity of a complete door assembly.
• Layout: include any side lights, top lights or paired leaves in the elevation. Confirm which panels open and which are fixed.

Dimensions and installation coordination

Provide the structural opening width and height, finished floor levels and wall build-up. The opening size, outer frame size, opening leaf size and clear passage are different measurements and should be labelled separately on the approved drawing. Ask the team to confirm feasible leaf dimensions for the chosen materials, glazing and hardware rather than relying on a general maximum.

Before installation, coordinate frame anchoring, threshold height, perimeter sealing and any required drainage with the installer. Check opening clearance, nearby walls and floor finishes. For an exposed entrance, request the relevant assembly details and any available performance evidence for that configuration.

What to send for a quotation

Send the project country and city, opening measurements, elevation or site photos, preferred gallery reference, finish, glazing, opening direction, quantity and access requirements. Tell us whether you need fixed side or top glazing. Discuss drawing confirmation, inspection, packaging, delivery scope and after-sales terms with the team; lead time, payment and warranty terms should be confirmed in the written quotation.
